Can golosAway work with its own keyboard?
Yes. Recent updates added a golosAway keyboard flow where the keyboard can show recording state, show the active preset, and insert the latest result once processing finishes.
Can the keyboard stop recording for me?
Yes. For text-producing presets, the keyboard now supports a stop-and-insert flow that asks golosAway to stop, waits for the processing result, and inserts it back into the current field.
Why does the app briefly open before recording?
The project README explains that iOS requires microphone recording to begin in the foreground before golosAway can continue with its wider flow.
Can it work with messaging apps?
Yes. Presets can hand off into WhatsApp, Messages, Telegram, or Messenger once recording begins.
Can I change recording limits?
Yes. The app now includes a maximum recording length setting with a default of 5 minutes, and presets using After Silence can be configured for pauses up to 30 seconds.
How can I translate a received message?
golosAway supports an in-app incoming translation screen and a Share Extension path for translating received text and preparing a translated reply.
Can golosAway work inside Messages?
Yes. The current project includes a Messages extension that can list available text presets, record from inside a conversation, process the result, and insert it back into the thread.
What is the preset description field for?
Presets can now include extra context such as message category or domain, and that description is sent together with the text to help OpenAI process it more accurately.
