This page reflects what the current Forkline project indicates about browser storage, exported files, and the absence of a backend service.

Forkline is described in the current project as a standalone local-first savings planner with no backend.

Plans autosave in browser local storage, including accounts, cashflows, outlooks, branches, notes, and related planning values.

The current project notes that there is no server. Your plan data stays on the device and browser you use unless you export it yourself.

Exported .forkline.json files may contain sensitive financial assumptions. Store and share them with the same care you would use for a spreadsheet.

Clearing site data in your browser may remove locally stored plans. Export a JSON backup first if the information matters to you.
